The Transport Workers Union and American Airlines have reached a Tentative Agreement covering our Professional Aircraft Maintenance and Related skills.

An agreement was reached late Saturday night for a three-year agreement effective March 1, 2001. Details of the agreement are available on our Airline Division website www.twuatd.org. The new agreement provided Industry leading compensation with full back pay for all hours worked including holidays and overtime. We expect the ratification process to be completed by late August.

We are still in contract negotiations with our other seven contract work groups: Fleet Service, Stores, Flight Dispatchers, Meteorologists - Operations Specialists, Aviation Maintenance Technical Specialists, Flight Simulator Technicians, and Ground School Instructors. Those negotiations will resume in DFW the week of July 16, 2001.
